Payment Requirements
1. FACTS Tuition Plan. Ten monthly payments automatically debited from your checking or savings account. There is a one time $ 38 FACTS setup fee. For those of you who do not have either a checking or savings account, St. Sebastian’s has made arrangements with the local Bank of America branch to open an account for you for the purpose of debiting monthly tuition. The school business office can provide you with further details on this program.
2. One payment made in full by July 16, 2008 will receive a 5% discount.

Scholarships
There are a limited number of need-based scholarships available, and parents are invited to apply. Evidence of income needs to be provided at the time of registration. For a scholarship packet, please inquire at the business office. Scholarships are provided from two sources:

The Archdiocese Catholic Education Foundation OR The Spartan Patron Foundation.

The school receives no additional money from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. There will be an individual assessment of each application based upon financial circumstances. Final determination will be made by the school.

Family Fundraising
Each family is required to raise the following minimum profit in fundraising: $300 for one child; $400 for two or more children

Parent Service Hours
Each family is required to perform 34 hours of service per school year (4 of these service hours must completed at our School Carnival or a $100 fee will be assessed).

You will receive an acceptance letter by mail welcoming your child for the 2008-09 school year.

St. Sebastian School Kindergarten Application Process 2008-09
Step 1: Small Group Academic Assessments for New Students
Our Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Jamieson administers an assessment with small groups of 6 or fewer students on one of the following dates:

Wednesday, March 5, 8:45-9:45 am
Thursday, March 6, 8:45-9:45 am

Note: Parents are welcome to bring their own reading materials as they wait for the assessment completion. Additionally, arrangements will be made for parents to enjoy coffee and refreshments with a school representative.

Step 2: Preliminary Acceptances
A) All New Parents and current PreK Parents will be notified of Preliminary Acceptances by Thursday, March 20. (Please note: If students need more time to meet the minimum requirements of the Academic Assessment, a Final Individual Assessment will be given on Thursday, June 26 at 1pm.)
B) To continue with the application process, students must attend the Mandatory Group Play Date.

Step 3: Group Play Date
Tuesday, May 6, 8:45 - 9:30am: Mandatory Group Play Date

Step 4: Final Acceptance Letters
A) Final Acceptance letters will be sent out by Tuesday, May 13.
B) School Information Packets will be distributed.

Note: Kindergarten Summer Enrichment Packets (KSEPs) are mandatory for all students entering Kindergarten in September. KSEPs will be distributed in the office on Thursday, June 26 at 2pm to all accepted students.
