Message from our Principal

Dear Saint Sebastian Family,

Affirmation of the week: “I will do what I can now for my future self.” Don’t get caught in the past, because the past is gone. Don’t get upset about the future, because the future is not yet here. There is only one moment for you to be alive, and that is the present moment. Live in the moment with the future in mind. The actions of the here and now will change your reality for later. Also live with plenty of love and kindness!

Mr. Andrew Suk
Principal

Please read the information below so you get the details for the activities we have planned for this upcoming month and save the dates!

Walk-ins welcome!

This Sunday from 9:00am to 3:00pm

Presidents’ Day Observed

Do you want to ba a president? Anyone can run for office, so why not! Many presidents had unusual careers before entering the White House. Jimmy Carter, the 39th president, was a peanut farmer. Ronald Reagan, the 40th president, was a famous movie star. And Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president, once worked chopping rails for fences. Andrew Johnson, the 17th president of the United States, was a tailor before he was president. Harry Truman, the 33rd president, was a haberdasher, someone who deals in men’s clothing and accessories, particularly hats.

By the way, School and office will be closed on Monday February 16th in observance of Presidents’ Day.

Ash Wednesday Mass

This is a reminder that February 18th is Ash Wednesday. Therefore we will be having mass that day and all students must wear their mass uniform. There won’t be Mass on Friday, the 20th.

All families are invited to attend mass at 8:00 am at the Parish. Preschool students are also welcome to come with their parents; otherwise Father German will come to their classrooms after mass to put ashes on our little ones.

If you do not want your child to receive ashes, please let the teacher know via email as soon as possible.
