Message from our Principal

Dear Saint Sebastian Family,

Affirmation of the week: “I choose to focus on progress over perfection.” The idea of perfection is often driven by the fear of failure and the pursuit of impossible standards which can come with anxiety and shame. It creates a trap that makes anything less than 100% unacceptable. A progress focused mindset welcomes mistakes and sees them as actions towards growth and achievement. It eliminates fear and pressure allowing creativity to flow. As Ms. Frizzle iconically says “Take chances, make mistakes, get messy!”.

Mr. Andrew Suk
Principal

Please read the information below so you get the details for the activities we have planned for this upcoming month and save the dates!

Family Mass tomorrow

All families are invited to join our monthly School Family Mass this Saturday March 14th at 5:00pm.

Come in your Mass uniform to get a free dress pass for next week!

Even when these are not mandatory masses, we encourage everyone to participate. This is a good opportunity to build community and be present for our school, in addition to strengthening our Catholic faith. This is also a way to show up as the Spartan Family we are!

Green on St. Patrick’s

Tuesday March 17th is St. Patrick’s Day and we will be celebrating by wearing green and passing out the Candy Grams purchased last week.

FUN FACT: While the shamrock (a green plant) was used by St. Patrick to explain the Trinity, its widespread adoption as a national symbol in the 18th century reinforced green’s connection to the holiday.

Have fun dressing up or bringing any green accessories.

Street Work on 3/18

The City is applying an asphalt slurry seal on Wyoming Street on Wednesday March 18th.  This means that the street will be closed. We will all have to ENTER AND EXIT through the back of the school gate on Colby during drop off and pick up.

Please drive in slowly, be mindful and careful to make everything run smoothly.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and flexibility.

Spring Festival schedule

Save the dates and share with your extended family and friends: Our Spring Festival will be on Saturday April 25th and Sunday April 26th.

If you know anyone who would be interested in donating items or experiences for our Silent Auction, please send their contact info to office@saintsebastianschool.com These donations are Tax deductible!

Spring Fest Volunteering

With the Spring Break in the way, we want to start preparing now for the Spring Festival. As each year, we need all families to volunteer to make our event run smoothly and have our children and all the visitors have the best time ever.

There are many activities to choose from to volunteer, so go ahead of the game and sign up in the link below:

Spring Fest 2026 – Volunteering Sign Up

We want to remind you that, as stated in your Enrollment Agreement, each family is required to volunteer 6 hours during the Spring Festival.

Auction Class Baskets

Each class is making a themed basket to be auctioned in our Silent Auction. Communicate with your room parent to help build your class basket. They have been sending messages in the Whatsapp chats, classes are already getting ideas and collecting items. By the way, shout out to our Room Parents for organizing this!

Each basket should be valued between $100 – $200. So if you all participate, you will be able to make a nicer basket that will cost less to you.
