Message from our Principal
Dear Saint Sebastian Family,
Affirmation of the week: “I walk by faith and not by sight.”
It is easy for students to get caught up in immediate, visible challenges. A tough assignment, a momentary setback, or a busy week. Walking by faith reminds our students to look beyond those temporary obstacles, trusting that every effort, mistake, and act of perseverance is building character and resilience underneath the surface. By focusing on growth and trusting God’s bigger picture rather than immediate results, our students learn to navigate life’s path with steady courage, patience, and hope.
Mr. Andrew Suk
Principal
Please read the information below so you get the details for the activities we have planned. Prepare and save the dates!
Latino Heritage Class Presentations at 8:00 am
-
TK & Kinder on Monday September 28th
-
1st – 4th Grades on Tuesday September 29th
-
5th – 8th Grades on Wednesday September 30th
Our students have been preparing to have a presentation on the Latino countries they are representing.
Parents are invited to stay and see what each class has prepared for us. You can park orderly, in the farthest area between the garden and the gate, or in the basketball court area. Once the presentations are over, cars must exit the parking lot as soon as possible so we are able to close the gate.
Blessing of the animals
In observation of St Francis of Asissi Feast Day, we will have Blessing of the Animals at school after the morning assembly on Monday October 5th at 7:50am.

Jog-a-thon is coming!
The Jog-a-thon / Hop-a-thon is our first fundraising sporting event of the year. It is held on Thursday, October 8th. Children run (TK-8th Grades) or hop (Preschool) as many laps as they are able to in the playground.
This is the first of the four mandatory fundraisers that will count towards the $450 minimum Fundraising Commitment you signed when you enrolled. This means that all families must participate. Even if the student is absent, families must get donations.
What are parents supposed to do? Parents get sponsors who will pledge a donation towards their fundraising campaign. The purpose of this event is to fundraise as much as possible by running laps. So go around looking for people to become your children’s sponsors.

There are 2 ways to pledge: Flat rate donation or donation per lap
1. Flat Rate means that the sponsor will donate a specific amount regardless of how many laps the child runs.
2. Per Lap means that the sponsor will donate an amount depending on how many laps the child runs. This is, for example, if I pledge to donate $0.50 cents per each lap, and the student runs 50 laps, I will have to donate $25 total.
Timeline:
-
Starting today and until October 7th – Get as many pledges as possible.
-
Wednesday October 7th – BRING BACK YOUR PLEDGE FORMS. We need them to mark the total number of laps and the total amount to collect after they run.
-
Thursday, October 8th @7:30am – Volunteer to cut fruit in the morning and prep the cups for our Spartans!
-
Thursday, October 8th – Kids run in the morning and volunteers total the pledges in the sheets after the event.
-
Tuesday October 13th – School sends pledge forms back home so you can start collecting the pledged money.
-
Monday Ocotber 19th – Turn in collected money to school. You can bring cash, check, or Zelle*
*IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT ZELLE – If you are asking your sponsors to zelle money directly to the school, please make sure they include your child’s name on the message. Example: Jogathon – Juanito Perez 3rd
