Student Council

Grades 5th – 8th

Student engagement and leadership thrive within our vibrant community. Our Student Council, composed of passionate students from grades 5th through 8th, embodies the principles of integrity, compassion, and service inherent in our Catholic values. Led by elected student leaders, including the President, Vice President, Treasurer, and other dedicated members, the Student Council plays a vital role in organizing events, fundraisers, and initiatives that enrich our school experience.

Their commitment to excellence and social responsibility exemplifies the spirit of our ambitious scholars, who continually strive to make a positive impact on our school and beyond. Through their collaborative efforts, our Student Council fosters a culture of inclusivity, empathy, and leadership, inspiring their peers to become socially conscious citizens and active participants in building a better world.

Join us in recognizing and celebrating the remarkable contributions of our student leaders as they embody the core values that define our school community.

FIrst Communion

2nd Grade Students

The school is committed to nurturing the spiritual growth of our students and preparing them for significant milestones in their faith journey. As part of our curriculum, second-grade students receive dedicated religion classes led by a knowledgeable and caring teacher who is also an active member of the Church community. These classes provide a solid foundation for students as they prepare for their First Communion, a sacred moment in their lives.

Additionally, our school organizes the First Reconciliation process, leading students through a meaningful period of reflection and preparation before their First Communion. While First Communion is traditionally part of the second-grade curriculum, we warmly welcome students from older grades who are interested in participating in this important sacrament.

Through our comprehensive approach to religious education and sacramental preparation, we strive to support each student’s spiritual development and deepen their connection to their faith community.

Altar Servers

The school actively encourages students to engage with their faith community by participating as altar servers in our church. Older students take on leadership roles by creating schedules and assisting in the training of younger students who are eager to serve.

As altar servers, students play an integral role in the Mass, actively participating in the sacred rituals and enhancing the worship experience for the entire congregation. Through this meaningful involvement, students not only deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith but also develop valuable leadership skills and a sense of responsibility to their community.

We are proud to support our students in their journey of spiritual growth and active participation in the life of the church.

STAR testing

We utilize the STAR testing platform for standardized assessments, providing a comprehensive evaluation of student progress. This digital and adaptive testing method allows us to assess students in both Spanish and English across various subjects.

For our youngest learners, grades TK-3, we administer Early Literacy tests, while Reading assessments in both languages are conducted for grades 2-8. Additionally, Math assessments are offered in Spanish for grades 2-4 and in English for grades 5-8.

STAR is an adaptive test that provides valuable insights into areas of strength and areas for growth. Teachers utilize these scores to guide their instruction, offering a more personalized learning experience for each student.

We believe in the importance of transparency and collaboration with parents, which is why we share test scores with them after each testing window. With three assessment windows each year, we continuously track student progress and work together to support their academic success. Through the STAR testing program, we are committed to fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and ongoing improvement in our educational practices.
